Hula dance is just one of the many polynesian dances that we perform and teach here at AtlantaHulaDance:

    Hawaiian Hula Dance
The characteristic slow and graceful movements emphasize the hips and hands. The choreographies tell storries about every day live in Hawaii.
* Pua Lili
* Hola Ka
* Po LaiLai
* Green Rose
* Merriest Hawaiian Christmas
    Tahitian Ori and Ote'a Dance
Tahitian costumes are known for their beautiful tall headdresses, grass skirts and hand tassels. The Otea dancers move their hips to fast energetic drum beats.
* Tahitian Drum Solo I
    New Zealand Maori Dance
The best known prop for Maori dance are the poi balls, which are attached to long cords and swung in cirles around the poi dancers. At night (and outside, please), they can be set on fire for a spectacular display.
A Kapa haka is a group gathered to practise and perform the songs and dances of the Maori people of New Zealand. Kapa means "row" in Maori, and much of the performance is given with the performers in rows.

We currently do not have a teacher for this style of dance

Many styles of Polynesian Dance exist including the religious based ancient Hula Kahiko; the modern Hula ‘auana using instruments such as the ukulele; the Tahitian Ori dance, and the traditional New Zealand Maori.

Where does polynesian dance originate from?

Polynesia is a large grouping of over 1,000 islands scattered over the central and southern Pacific Ocean. Polynesia may be described as a triangle with its corners at Hawaii, New Zealand and Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Inside are the islands Samoa and Tonga, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia.

Polynesian Dancing is one of the most popular forms of dance for events, be it an adult Luau party or a childrens birthday party.

First-hand experiencing of the enchanting beauty and charm of ancient Polynesian dances is unforgettable.

The pulsing drums, the blur of the hip shaking, intoxicating tropical flower scents, and the unmistakable energetic performance that is Polynesian dance are brought together here.

Our dancers are available at events either as Performers or as Dance Instructors. The Instructor can be available prior to the performance to give the guests a short dance lesson. Then let the music carry you and your guests into an unforgettable night of memories and dreams.

Our luau dancer(s) can greet your arriving guests in true aloha fashion with a lei and flowers for the ladies hair,
we can teach the guests some basic dance moves,
and get the party started with a stunning performance.
